Super Parenting/Parent Empowerment

(8-Week Class)

Parenting can be the most rewarding—yet the most challenging—experience you’ll ever have! Children don’t come with an instruction manual, but this class can provide you with tools to empower yourself and your child/children by becoming a more effective parent, including using appropriate discipline. 

Women in Transition

(Call NCCC office for meeting days and times)

You are not alone!  Many women are struggling with issues such as domestic violence and emotional abuse, depression, “empty nest syndrome,” career changes, or relationship and family problems that are wreaking havoc in their lives.  Learn new self-esteem strategies and how to transform your fears and self-doubts into strength.  This is a safe place to share your concerns.

Coping With Unemployment Support Group

(Call NCC office for meeting days and times)

Do you feel alone? Are you struggling with depression and anxiety due to unemployment?   Do you need a safe place to share your experiences with job loss?  We will be covering topics such as: Learning new ways to cope with feelings of depression and anxiety stemming from unemployment. Sharing your struggles of job loss and helping to support others. Learning new skills to increase self esteem and self care as you search for employment.

Tweens to Teens Empowerment Program
(6-Week Class. Parental approval required.)

This program for girls ages 12-17 focuses on providing ways to help reduce stress in daily life, including coping with family issues.  A key element of the program is helping girls develop healthy and safe relationships, and learning to identify and avoid abusive situations. 

Super Communication Skills for Families and Couples
(8-Week Class)

Build better relationships with your spouse, partner, and family members by communicating more effectively.   You’ll learn how to recognize signs of anger and how to channel it constructively, and how to stop blaming and complaining.

In S-A-F-E- Hands
(Call NCCC office for meeting days and times.)

S-A-F-E- means Safety, Awareness, Faith, and Empowerment, and this group provides support for women who are victims of any type of abuse or trauma.  Learn how to increase self-esteem and develop more effective coping skills to break free from situations that are unhealthy and unhappy.  NCCC also offers counseling for victims of child abuse.

Eldercare Outreach Program

Focuses on helping women and men meet the various challenges of life cycle changes with continuing growth and wisdom.
